Mullingar Show
The Canine First Responder Course is open to anyone over the age of sixteen.
Participants under the age of sixteen may be eligible if they can demonstrate working with dogs in a responsible manner such as kennel assistants, farm workers, breeders or youngsters that seriously want to do the course with their parents.
The course follows the same protocols vets would use if they where first on the scene of your canine emergency. Thus you will be safe in the knowledge that you have done exactly what the vet would have done if he were on the scene first. We use the latest in audio visual technology to enhance the learning experience with trainers that have over twenty years of experience in the canine field delivering your course for you.
You will get hands-on practice with the latest canine CPR manikin and have fun at the same time as we learn in a fun, relaxed, friendly environment conducive to learning. You will be supplied with your own compact yet comprehensive First Aid Kit and a printed manual.
So what will you learn?
Listed below are just a few of the things covered in the course materials:
• Effective use of barriers such as gloves and face shields
• Safe scene assessment
• Primary Assessment
