We always love to hear how our course attendee's use their skills & knowledge that they have learnt ,so when Sarah was telling me this tale while recently renewing her certification I just had to ask her could we share !!!
" I always get a Chinese on a friday night and have prawn crackers left over. I give them to my chickens as a treat and they love them! On Saturday I did the same but Rocky my rooster decided to try eat a really big piece and started to choke and throw his head forward! So I grabbed him between my legs and opened his beak and tried to flick out the cracker but to no success only small pieces came of! So I scooped him up and ran down to the duck pond and put his beak under the water to softening the cracker and then he was able to swallow it!! Drama over he wont do it again 😆"
